PolarSeal Tapes and Conversions Ltd is pleased to announce the delivery and commissioning of an 11 station 350mm wide converting press with multiple unwind-rewind units, product attribute inspection system and in-process measurement capabilities down to 10micron. With Installation Qualification now complete and Operational Qualification nearing completion, we can announce that die cut tolerances from station to station comfortably exceed our expectations. Working with multi-laminate polyester constructions we can consistently achieve dimensional stability over 300mm of +/- 0.100mm with ppk’s greater than 1.5. This achievement is the result of several years of R&D which have included the building of a highly specified 200mm wide pilot machine which was used as a platform from which this ground-breaking tight-tolerance die cutting capability has been developed.
